The team at Cedarside Animal Hospital is comprised of highly trained and experienced animal health professionals who have a genuine love for working with pets. Our staff treats every patient with the highest quality of medical care as well as a gentle touch.

Dr. Kayla Runals

Dr. Kayla has been a dedicated part of the veterinary field from an early age, beginning her journey at just 15 years old working at our very clinic. That early experience helped shape her passion for animal care and client relationships, ultimately leading her to pursue a career in veterinary medicine.

She earned her veterinary degree from Lincoln Memorial University and has since developed a strong interest in preventative care and practical, realistic treatment plans tailored to each patient and family. Dr. Kayla is Fear Free certified and is committed to creating a low-stress, comfortable experience for both pets and their owners.

Dr. Kayla values clear communication and believes in working closely with clients to make thoughtful, individualized decisions that support the long-term health and well-being of their pets.

Outside of the clinic, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two daughters. Her home is filled with a wide variety of animals, including cats, a dog, fish, miniature donkeys, miniature horses, and chickens—reflecting her lifelong love of animals both inside and outside of work. She also volunteers with the Medina County SPCA, supporting local animal welfare efforts.
